Financial Information
Orthodontic treatment is an investment in yourself. An investment in a lifetime smile that you will absolutely love.
Treatment Cost
In order to understand how exactly to make your smile perfect, Dr. Knapp offers a free consultation to examine and discuss your teeth.
At this consultation, we will discuss some treatment options that could vary in cost. The complexity of the treatment could affect the cost and duration of treatment.
We’ll verify whether your dental insurance offers an orthodontic benefit and estimate how much your insurance will pay. We’ll attempt to use as much orthodontic benefit as possible. There’s no guarantee that the amount estimated will be fully paid by your insurance company.
Our goal is to help you achieve your perfect smile. We’ll work with you financially to make that possible.
We oftentimes charge a relatively small down payment for braces and finance the rest of the cost of your treatment over the course of your treatment. The down payment for clear aligners will be higher due to the upfront lab fees we will be responsible for.
Both braces and clear aligners options are no-interest financing, meaning you won’t be charged additional for paying over the course of treatment.
Each month, you’ll pay a specified amount of the remainder of the treatment fee as determined at the beginning of treatment.
For Your Convenience
- We’ll automatically withdraw the money each month from a checking or savings account
- We also can charge a credit card each month; however, a credit card processing fee will be added to the total
- Use Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, and Discover
- We also accept flexible spending accounts (FSA) and health savings accounts (HSA)
- We offer a pay-in-full discount when you decide to pay your entire balance at the beginning of treatment
- You can also get a sibling/family discount*
*Only one discount can be used.
Insurance
We accept most major insurance plans, and our team is skilled at working with your provider to ensure you receive all the coverage that you’re entitled to.
Dental insurance may or may not include an orthodontic benefit. You can find this information within your dental insurance plan, or feel free to contact our office, and we can verify it for you.
Prior to your orthodontic consultation with Dr. Knapp, we will verify your insurance to determine what orthodontic benefit you may be eligible for.
Knapp Orthodontics has contracted with specific dental insurance companies to provide a discounted fee for your total orthodontic treatment. This means we are “in-network”.
That means you will receive a better total price by coming to our office as opposed to an office that’s “out-of-network”.
All orthodontic offices will likely accept all dental insurance and will file insurance on your behalf, but not all orthodontic offices are In-Network.
The following are a list of insurances we are In-Network with:
-
Aetna
-
Ameritas
- Blue Cross Blue Shield
- Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama (BCBS of Alabama)
- Blue Cross Blue Shield Anthem/Unicare
- Blue Cross Blue Shield Federal Employee Program (FEP)
- Guardian
- Humana Federal EPO
- Humana/Teamcare
- Principal
- MetLife
- United Concordia
- United Concordia ADDP
- United Concordia Advantage National
- United Concordia Tricare
If we’re not in-network with your dental insurance company, we’ll still file your insurance for you and request they pay the maximum allowed.
This means you will owe less out of pocket. The following are some dental insurances that we regularly work with:
- Cigna
- Delta Dental
- Dentemax
- GEHA
- Sunlife/DHA
- United Healthcare
- WebTPA
